The Inspiration

Inspired...that's all that I have been by an awesome business and by the God who has totally held my hand every step of the way during this venture.

Just about every stay at home mom I know dreams of making a little money here and there, by working from home.  (Okay, not just a little money.  Can't say many don't sit around and dream big!  Grin.)  But, like most things, it's when you're not brainstorming--not clouding your mind from what God is actually trying to tell you--that God speaks loud and clear!  I can attest.... 

Thanks to a little ray of sunshine in our 4th & 5th grade ministry at church who was wearing the coolest homemade band around her neck in the spring of 2005, God was able to plant a seed in my life that has grown tremendously!  Experimenting with a charm here and there, beginning with a home computer and diving in to the local scene, with my BBA background in business and marketing, was only a start.  Through lots of prayer and support from family and friends, this God given idea quickly leapt into over 100 stores within the southeastern region with a very supportive team of wonderful sales reps on board to help take the business to the next level.  And, as I continue to give God the glory, and I can only imagine what He has in store. 

Because it's not for me.  Ha--believe it or not, I was not even a jewelry person when this all started.  What began as something fun and inexpensive to wear myself, became a part of the ever growing trend among young girls, preteens, and yes, even their moms and grandmoms!  And, it's those young ones that keep me going.  With my husband and I being self employed, it is for the kids.  They're not getting any younger, and too bad their teeth aren't getting any straighter either, ha ha. (Who would have thought a 7 year old was going to need braces!)  So, thanks to this incredible opportunity, I can help support my family in a way that I, as a stay at home, would otherwise be unable to do.  And, the opportunity is also INCREDIBLE because I have the awesome PRIVILEGE to put God's Word and example into the secular marketplace.  Customers can witness through their gifts of NecklinesTM or be witnessed to (some without even knowing it) when they purchase an alpha NecklineTM.  Unless requested differently by the store owner, the card backings of all alpha charmed NecklinesTM read: "I have called you by your name; You are mine...For I am the Lord your God." Isaiah 43:1-3.  As my business continues to grow, you will see more Scripture and more fun in every package.  It's one step at a time, though...and I have learned that waiting on the Lord for His direction is the most successful move I can make.
